And you should know that you came up in conversation just last night while we were watching "the Sunday Night Sex Show with Dr. Sue" [which was a repeat] in case your ears were burning... It was a certain something about a January term where a number of us huddled at your feet, listening to the reading of a certain book... ;)

I've heard much about greyaenigma. From Duncan, of course, who seems to remain quite fond of him. In memory. I know that Duncan has tried to contact him extensively recently - specifically, when we've been spending a weekend in Portland - to no avail. Alas.

Though we did spend a nice weekend in Portland last summer with one of your other friends who has a son with the same first name as your son...

Somehow I must have forgotten about this connection, or not known that you were seeking him! I apologize profusely, since I could practically have given you driving directions off top of my head! :(

I am glad you got to see the other one though- I've never gotten to meet either of his little ones, and I bet they are darling :)

His children really are lovely and fun. His boy was quite precocious and very sociable, and he was absolutely mad for Haven.
It was a nice weekend all around. I don't think Duncan's been in touch with him since then, though.

You needn't apologize or feel badly! You couldn't have known that we were hoping to see him while we were there.

Ugh. I feel like crap because I made everyone feel bad!

Oh I don't feel too bad, it just sucks when it turns out I had info that someone wanted and didn't think to offer it. I even remember thinking after we had talked that I should have asked Duncan whether there was anyone he was looking for besides Nikki, but didn't think of it again :( It's just a bummer I didn't think of it is all, so I am glad you guys are back in touch!

Don't feel bad, and also don't feel bad for feeling bad in case you were planning on that ;)

Recently? If I recall correctly, the last I heard from him, it was I think in a voicemail I got just as I was heading out the door to last year's Go Congress in Houston. In fact, I may not have even gotten the message until I got back. So I have a pretty good excuse for not being there that week, but no excuse for not having written back afterwards explaining what happened.

It made me feel very bad for a long time, though. Still does! I'm sorry!

Oh, crap! No no no! I don't want you to feel badly! Not necessary.

It has been some time since he tried to contact you at all, I do know that. And it's been almost a year since we were in Portland. It was last August that we spent a weekend at Ben's house, and that was when he was hoping to see you as well. I know that he had called several times that weekend, and left messages for some of those calls, but I don't know that he's tried again since then.
And I'd say that you did have a good excuse - though no excuse is necessary.

And, you know, life is hectic and messy for everyone. We're no better at contacting people, even when we want to be in touch with them. It's really not a big deal - I'm sorry if I had made it sound like it was - and certainly nothing that you should feel badly about.

Thank you! So far I've:

Been able to defeat an arch-villain and reach level 20 in City of Heroes
Sleep
Been taken to breakfast, and got ice cream with a candle
Had my dishes washed while I've lounged around and played games or helped Karla play games.

No Go, alas, I'm skipping that to be with B and K.

I thought for a moment I was being discussed ON that show, which would really be something.
