I miss my geeks...

Oh I really have it now.
*wheeze*
And so does K. PLUS he got a load of vaccinations yesterday which might leave him feeling ghastly for a day or so they warned us.
*wheeze* *cough* *HACK*
*wheeze*
But thankfully UC5 is going to attempt to work from home as much as he can today, and is skipping a work related class he really should go to in order to take care of us. We don't really have any other options yet, especially since there's no such thing as a sick kids day care... They call that a hospital and it costs a LOT more than day care.
*wheeze*
So, yup, I'm still here, but I am not really reading any community stuff, and I've mostly been scanning everything else. I probably won't comment on anything even if I do read today just because as you can my sinuses must be pressing on the grammar center of my brain...
*wheeze*
If I die, I'd much rather have you remember me as the bad spelling queen who could at least for a run-on sentence, not the gibbering dullard I've become.
*wheeze* *cough*
Had a dream that Crash was trying to find someone to help me during the day so he could go to work and he got our old friend Shaggy to come over and baby sit me and K. As soon as he told me this I felt all warm and comfortable knowing he would make everything okay, since that was often Shaggy's function as our friend (we called him our Favor-Ho from time to time) and getting to spend a day with Shaggy again also seemed like such a wonderful prospect. Then of course I woke up and realized that it wasn't true of course because Shaggy lives in Bellevue, some 3000+ miles away. I was really bummed, but I made myself feel better by emailing Shaggy about my dream. Hopefully it will give him a chuckle.
We've been missing Shaggy a lot lately anyway because of the PS2- He and his best friend, um, red-headed-boy I shall call him for the moment for lack of a better nick name, used to come over to our house all the time and stay up a great deal of the night playing Soul Calibur the first on Sega, and Star Gladiator on the PS- that is one of my favorite cheezy fighting games of all time to watch, and watching Shaggy, Crash, and the RHB going at it was always a joy. I miss long philosophical discussions with RHB and the really ridiculous conversations I used to have with Shaggy- I had a terrible crush on him for the longest time. Crash understood, and had something similar and platonic but in crush form, and agrees he's a cutie. Shaggy is good people, just the kind of guy who would come over and baby sit another guy's wife with nothing but good intentions and the pay back of getting all his laundry done or something similar. He's saved our asses in the past for less. Anyway, I'll shut up now, but I just wanted to share because I will always have a soft warm fuzzy spot for Shaggy, and it made me miss everyone out there a little because I know if I had called up one of you folks I probably could have gotten someone else to come suck up my germs for a while too, whereas here I would be infecting other people's children if I did that even a little- sometimes there IS a draw back to having all your friends have kids! *sigh* But trust me, Shaggy would have been my first choice because he knows what a surly bitch I am when I am sick, and he doesn't care.
