The Fish have names!
Apr. 19th, 2004 09:40 amThe other development over the weekend is that the Betta's now both have NAMES!
On the left we have John Crichton and on the right we have Ka D'Argo! We debated a variety of pals who sort of fight, and finally decided on those as the best compromise :)
And true to their names, Crichton is a little more mellow, a little more into exploring his surroundings, where D'Argo is a tiny bit more in your face, and a lot quicker to notice when you are standing there looking at him, and certainly quicker to fight! Both very friendly boys though :)
I took lots of pictures of them, but sadly ALL were blurry when I got to see them full size. I am working on getting something ELSE to take pictures with soon, so I promise I will put up more of the fish because they are very beautiful, but for now, here they are together in the set-up in its semi-final state- I think I need to add marbles to the bottom to make it easier to arrange the bamboo, and I think I might set them in on something else soon as well, but I am still working out how far I need to keep them apart as a rule- they are usually not pressed together like in the picture for obvious reasons :) about 6-7 inches seems to be enough to keep them from fighting constantly while allowing them to still spot each other from time to time.
