It wasn't as much bravery as it was a kind of life need- I figured out it was eating shampoo and conditioner at an alarming rate, and cost I might add, and that I was also paying a lot to get it bleached which it needs again which would then make the above-mentioned problems worse. (And we just spent $600 trying to save a cat, so that seems a little stupid)

I thought back to the time when I did it last, specifically thinking it would make me ugly. I had had a realization that I had become dependant on my hair for my self image, that my whole being was really tied to it in a lot of ways... Okay, we need back story... I had tried Henna and it was a mistake- I don't look good with orange, and I couldn't do ANYTHING to make it stop being orange. I felt betrayed, my baby, my hair, it was just wrong wrong wrong... Then I realized how wrong THAT was and said, finally, that I needed to experience life WITHOUT it to understand whether it was truly owning me or not.

The sad part is that it truly DOES own me, but the other thing I found out surprisingly is that I am also HOT as a large chick with short hair :) I don't prefer myself that way because it's actually more work even if it is less products, and it always grows back, so I end up eventually fucking it up, getting sick of cutting it, and growing it back because ultimately it's easier to have long hair...

But my hair was also really getting ratty despite my best efforts to keep it healthy. It was going to get shorter at some point, I just sped up the process about 10 haircuts at once ;)

Not sure - either went natural colours, and/or cut it off. ot shaved it off, the icon isn't right.

Ah, a 3rd possibility was just suggested by the icon :

You have inflated your head with helium, to Macy's Parade size, and it is floating. The rings in the ears are to tie the head down with when it is not traveling. Cool!
