Do betta's get constipated? Is there such a thing as "Betta-lax"?

I think #1 hasn't pooped since we got him, and he looks like he's trying, but his belly is starting to look really bloated, and he occasionally is doing a floating near the top thang... I don't think I over fed him, but I suppose it's possible.

I have fear. I think that's why I haven't named him yet.

#2 is from a nice pet store, had much cleaner water, and is in general a more perky fish from the get go. He's also INCREDIBLY lovely. I'll have to try to snap a shot of him later. He's mostly a blue/turquoise with red highlights. A beautiful boy...

Hey, use aquariam salts. ther'es usually one you can buy that's in liquid form. It always worked for Stealth :)

I think he finally did squeeze one out, he's not doing the floating thing anymore, and his belly looks better though it's still a bit too round looking. Thanks for the tip though!

I think he's going to be fine- he's actually very excited about #2- he's been flaring at him off and on since he got in his bowl! I am so pleased with them, they seem pretty happy as well. I hope I find some plants soon!

For betta advice, you can always call Ketina and ask. She has had her fish "Min" for...a year or two now? She might be able to help. (Of course, she's gone this weekend, but...)
