K's first day of first grade.

"Bring it on," he seems to say, "and I will consume them with my 2 mighty adult teeth...."

The first day of school is always an adventure, but doubly so for K. He's made a lot of leaps over the summer, both good and bad, so I have high hopes it will be awesome. He might not make it through an entire day the first day, but I imagine the school will still be impressed with all the things he's learned over the summer, well, except maybe for the curses. *smirk*

The school board has determined that the educational assistants don't start until the 18th apparently, so it'll be interesting to see how he manages since I think there's only one actual staffer and a few temporary folks set up to handle all the kids like K with extra needs there. If it doesn't work out well, maybe K and I will go scream loudly on the steps of the place until they see reason.
