What do you do with a billion pieces of plastic?

I'm getting to the point in the sorting of the old cassettes and VHS where the question becomes WHAT DO I DO with all this crap now? Most of the stuff I have is not pre-recorded and as such cannot be sold at a yard sale or to a used place. It seems a waste though to just chuck out hundreds of still useful cassettes and VHS though when it's just that _I_ am not using them. Thing is that I don't think anyone else is either, not even my local library or school, since most of the world has joined the 21st century a little quicker than I did and have tossed this stuff out ages ago.

I know it can be recycled if I took it to the dump, but is there anyplace or anyone that I'm not thinking of that could actually USE this stuff?

you could donate them to goodwill or value village or whathaveyou. i'm sure they'd take them, and then someone silly enough might just pay the 50 cents for a home-recorded video. *shrug*
