The Alphabet of Regret

I know I am not the first person to write a poem of this sort, but it amused me to do so, and I figured it would amuse those of you who know me and anyone else on this list that you can identify, so I thought I'd share so we can all laugh at my pain together :) These are people I can honestly say I regret ever having kissed for one reason or another. If you or anyone you know is on this list and has questions, let's keep it in email, yes? This is for amusement purposes only... Some nick names had to be spontaneously given in order to preserve the alphabetical nature of the alphabet...


A is for Alex who drank to excess
B is for Beth whose brain was a mess
C is for Carolyn who was crazy insane
D is for Doug who came on like a train
E is for Ed who was dumber than dirt
F is for Freya whose indifference hurt
G is for Gil who I did know was bad
H is for Heather whose words made me sad
I is for the Icky kid that lived down the hall
J is for Jesse with his heart dark and small
K is for Kriger and his dire need to run
L is for Lambert for whom I was not the one
M is for Marge who quickly lost her shit
N is for Nat who never quite had it
O is for "Old Fashioned" dude who insisted I be queen
P is for Peter who quickly turned quite mean
Q is for "Queer-eye" whom I could run down with a plow
R is for Randy and his "Moldier than thou"
S is for the Smoker whom I once hit on the head
T is for the Tallest man I never had in bed
U is for the Unix geek who said I didn't make the cut
V is for the Vice Cop who didn't like my inner slut
W is for Waggoner who should have stayed a friend
X is for the X-pert and the photo he did send
Y is for York and his love of mis-information
Z is for Zippy and his mass-communications

I have talked to Zippy semi-recently or at least within the year. He's "Your Pilot Zippy" now :)

I believe the nick name you might not be getting is the X-pert. He was the expert in everything of course :)

To be fair, it wasn't the drinking specifically that really made me regret the kissing (since he did that long before I kissed him), it was how the kissing seemed to change the friendship, but that doesn't fit in a short sentence or rhyme well with anything, and I knew he'd likely plead guilty as charged either way ;)

But yes, *sigh*... I heard from him briefly yesterday. Didn't get to talk much because we were both running out the electronic door so to speak.
