We are back, mostly no thanks to me...

PMS makes my brain do crazy things, like forget that things like milk, food in a jar, and ya know, WATER are also liquid. Also, apparently cheese is too suspiciously gel-like to be thought of as not gel. These things just skipped (tra-la-la) out of my mind as my MIL was describing the snack she was packing for us. The airport people were amused though, and happily let me get away with the water milk and cheese (because they were for our child, who was deeply interested in eating them as soon as they were pulled out the bag to be screened), but our jar of Apricot Mango Wasabi sauce that we got for Christmas is probably the next novelty meal of some truly wacky Albuquerque airport employee, but likely not the woman who screened us. She made a face when I explained what wasabi is.

The rest of it all went shockingly smoothly. Like we've-never-made-it-through-airport-customs-so-easily smoothly. We would have been home in record time for all the snow and delays we ran up against if I hadn't completely forgotten during baggage retrieval that we had brought K's booster seat, and had checked it as luggage. My agoraphobia was screaming by then, so I was just, "....suitcase, suitcase, suitcase! Ok! Let's GOOOOOOOO!" And [livejournal.com profile] uniquecrash5, crippled by stomach upset and too much being grumped at by 5 year olds and grumpy wives with PMS just nodded with that resigned yes-dear of the damned and followed me to the parking lot.

At this moment I did finally show my stuff by finding the car almost instantly despite having not written down where we'd left it, but it was also then that we realized about the car seat- Crash nobly ran back and got it, getting soundly lectured by the security people about how paranoid they get when someone leaves something behind, but paid for the parking so we could rocket away... We were in our own beds by 11 PM.

And today I try to check LJ... Heh. Well, that's was a nice try. I am sooooooooooooo far behind it's just about hopeless. If you had excitement, you should just tell me about it. I am too tired and in need of doing about 43,080,509 other things to even bother trying today. I probably won't get to posting about our trip until at least tomorrow. Needless to say we survived, which was a bit sketchy at times because I don't know if you heard, but there was some snow... *snorts* Sadly my pictures are from when there was only a foot on the ground. I hear they hit 2 by the afternoon, and who knows what they've got now. Either way, you will hear about it later, cuz it was actually pretty cool. I had a great time, but I am also way happy to be home.

*big warm LJ fuzzies at all of you*

Big piece from me to know about is the Gals & Giggles party at my apartment, January 5, Friday night. Girls only, green-puffing event. See my LJ from a few days ago for the post. LOVE to have you there. :)

No excitement for me, which could be a good thing.

I did post pictures of the new house though! And some of the critters of course.
