Extended Super Geekdom
Aug. 24th, 2006 10:14 amSpeaking of marriage in Star Trek.. When the husband came home yesterday, I mentioned that I had posted the beginnings of our list, and why, and he chuckled. He also chuckled about the comments about super heroes made by those on my list who feel lust toward all things super. I compared the phenomenons and asked how he would react to someone who said that superheroes never get married. We came to the conclusion that not only do they, they get SUPER-married, and have SUPER-sex!!!! (not to mention all the super-babies!!)
tee hee... We make us laugh, and Yes, we are the silliest geeks in Ontario, it's true.
In other news- Music came in the mail yesterday, mixes from
magusdave, and it is being consumed as we speak... Many thanks be to Magus! I think we're either okay to burn CD's now, or with one update of one program would be, so you can expect something in return at some point soonish, or ya know, hopefully this year.. *tries to look innocent* I owe some other people mixes, even have a couple saved here on the drive, and maybe I can even put a few more together if anyone is interested. I like making mixes, and I haven't done it in FOREVER.
Which brings me to another conversation, this one from this morning, about music. Is there such a thing as a middle-of-the-road love song? Lots of love songs are black or white, love you forever, or I am SO dumping your ass very soon.. Is there such a thing as a "yep, we're kinda in a rut, I suppose I could you leave you tomorrow, but man am I feelin laazy about it" songs? Despite my vast musical background (or perhaps because of not having enough coffee in my system at the moment) I am temporarily unable to think of any....

Date: 2006-08-24 04:22 pm (UTC)What about Paradise by the Dashboard Light? It isn't middle of the road, per se... but it starts with passionate love and ends with a prayer for the end of time. :D

Date: 2006-08-24 04:26 pm (UTC)I thought that selection looked familiar. Then I read the post. :D That'd be The Suicide King: Camille Mix. I had such a blast putting that stuff together, and I love to share. Didja like the covers?
Three more coming your way soon. Batten down the hatches. Swab the poopdeck. Dance a little dance and dream a little dream. Smell the coffee - and drink it, too. :)
Cheers!
