It really helps that I am the only one with caring/tension responses where this stuff is concerned, and he is a very calming influence. It's a very balanced situation, at least compared to my mom and I trying to do anything together. She and I are both too yang to do things in harmony, even when we have the same goals and ideals, we're still a train wreck.
