update... math is hard...
Apr. 8th, 2006 05:42 pmAfter much debating and thinking, and looking at listings, the realization that we would be squeezing ourselves into someplace a lot smaller than we are currently if we pay what we can afford if we stay in Toronto. If we move to Waterloo, we can get just about enough space to live in without killing each other, or having to give up the precious- K's plastic wagon. We couldn't live a day without that wagon, any mom on my list knows what I mean. I would sooner sell my fancy mountain bike than get rid of that $5 wagon... But alas, I couldn't keep either if we were going to live in Toronto. We can't afford to live here until I can get a job here*, end of story.
We're going to be looking at Kitchener and Waterloo pretty hard in the next few days, and hopefully not jumping into anything too fast. If it turns out to suck, the worst that happens is we have to spend all the money we'll save by living there moving back to Toronto. Somehow I am betting we can make it work out, we always do, since we're tricksy..
uniquecrash5 and K were off seeing the Doodlebops in person, thanks to the very kind and very sexy
tornattheelbo. Crash used his phone to do IM while they were there, updating me on how deeply fun it apparently was. K was nearly freaking out because they dared to take an intermission. He was also sad (and said so- "Sad, very sad..") when it ended! :) They got a poster for his room, and they're on their way home! I must finish cleaning the kitchen and make something for dinner. More later, if I can manage..
*For those of you just joining the story, I cannot legally work for money in Canada, because I am a US type person, and while I am visiting legally, that doesn't allow me to work or go to school. Hopefully this changes SOON, as we are further along than before on the paperwork, but likely not for months.
