Weird! After a long long long long time of having the tanks up and running, and with various accidental exposures to sunlight here and there with no problems, NOW, all of a sudden-like, I have algae. OH BOY do I have algae... *headdesk*

I always get algae this time of year. If you can stand it, just leave it alone - or clear an area for veiwing. It eats the fish waste and gives off oxygen. It's not all bad.

This advice to be taken with a grain of salt if it's the long stringy stuff that tangles the filter pumps...

Yeah, it's a bit stringy, so I am going to have picking it out in case it decides to go mobile.. I looked at the idea of getting something to eat it, but most of those generate too much waste or reproduce at random.. I might try changing out the dividers, since it seems to be the only area getting it, since it's right under the light. It's just unfortunately close to the filter intake as well.
