Mar. 13th, 2006 10:14 amI really think that getting back, even stomping back into life is definitely the way to make this cold go away. I had a busy busy day yesterday, and even worried I was overdoing it, but today my lungs feel even clearer! I'm still coughing a bunch, but not from such a deep and sticky place. I also definitely feel the coming of spring, like the fog is beginning to lift, finally. Of course, I could also just be about to have a manic swing, the only part of which concerns me is the upcoming need to make a few REALLY HYUGE decisions. I don't like to make decisions from the manic place because they often turn out to be of the biting off more than I can chew variety.
But oh how I am calm now.. It could be the weather, but much more likely it's the absolutely wonderful day I had yesterday. I got up early and did Useful Things (tm), including set up a batch of chili to cook before I was swept away to Waterloo by the ever-lovely
neeuqdrazil, and the handsome
curgoth. They also brought the very cute
grrlgoddess that I had heard about muchly but never met. In Waterloo (or actually, I think it was technically Kitchener) I got to finally spend meat-space time with a couple that I think we are going to seriously enjoy being neighbourly with-
lovecraftienne, and
persephoneplace. I can't even begin to explain how at home I felt in their space.. Musical instruments and gaming stuff everywhere, and their decorating sense is so similar to mine, and they have the sweetest little pup I've met since Betty passed. I spent the bulk of the time I wasn't playing games, chatting, or helping in the kitchen, petting and cuddling with the dog, Toby. I also did manage to remember a couple of the questions I had hoped to ask about the area, and was given much reassurance that despite the concerns about K and school, I was likely looking at an easier life than I am in now, just because stuff costs a lot less there. The absolutely wonderful
lovecraftienne has also offered to go road-tripping around the area with me this week if I can get a cheap car to rent, and manage to get my butt down there. I feel truly blessed to have been introduced to them, so thank you thank you thank you
neeuqdrazil!
And today is likely to be another good day. The house is still pretty damn clean from the last big push, which is super cool since the very sexy
tornattheelbo was planning on coming over today with her son for playing and hanging out! It's a crappy day outside, so I might break out the art supplies and let the kids try to destroy the house paint for a while before we let them just veg with a movie or perhaps a rousing game of Katamari Damacy on the PS2.
Anyway, need to abandon the big box for
uniquecrash5, so enough babbling and name dropping for me, for now ;)

...to the Beloved last night about you as we lay down. :)
I didn't get Crash's comment about bringing the PS2 controller and game until after you'd left, but we do have a PS2, and two controllers, but we don't have the splitter thingy to make it four controllers. So if you want to bring stuff next time, please do. :)
