Anyone been assaulted with an offer to buy the new Monopoly game while trying to look at anything on that link I posted earlier? I love how it's not really a pop-up and you can't make it go away, you can only ignore it. Annoying enough that I practically want to delete the post. We hates pop-ups...

Which link would that be? I went through and the only one I see is for Clean Sweep, and I have no pop ups on that. :D

It wasn't on the front page, but in some of the before and after stuff, and it didn't happen right away. Made it feel like something TLC had been paid to allow to happen, since it was barely even a pop-up, more like something that kinda melted into my window. All I could do was ignore the window until I could click where I wanted to without hitting the stupid ad. *sigh*

Other ways to pop things up...

There are Javascripty ways of creating a dynamic window, as well as with Flash and Shockwave. Usually there's a (well-hidden) Close button on the ad that'll let you get rid of it more quickly, but not always. Most popup blockers can't kill the things because it's hard to distinguish them from appropriate parts of the web site that might be needed to navigate it, unfortunately. If it's an actual IE window, I do wonder why your blocker didn't get it.
