My wonderful husband has a habit of finding the coolest stuff on the web, or having it fall into his lap. His boss who has a few kids pointed him toward this very kid-friendly game site called Orisinal. The games are all pretty simple, but with a level of challenge as well. I think I can even stomach the music! That is saying something.... K was truly loving the train game- calling out "Jump!" when it was time for Daddy to make the little guy jump between train cars, and even named some of the car colors! Who says computer games are evil for kids... EVERYTHING is a learning opportunity if you make it one, thanks very much.
Also say hello to Tatsu-Chan, my lazy fat butt cat who doesn't really deserve to live for all the damage he causes, but is a cute enough sleeper and kid proof enough that we keep him around for amusement value.

They have a lot of great games that make all kinds of fun noises and shiny colors and are still challenging, and many are incredibly educational! Typing, spelling, trivia, you name it! There's some that depending on your tolerance for explosions and divers being eaten by word sharks might be less your little guy's speed, but mostly all very gentle :)
