Aug. 15th, 2005 05:52 pmFuck you, limbo, fuck you very much...
The good news is there's no bad news, the bad news is there's more waiting because there's really no news. No news is NOT good news, and at present, no idea of news is even worse. The only silver lining is that I don't feel the burning need to pack for a move that might take ages to happen.
It'll (supposedly) still happen when it happens, but who knows if we can actually wait that long. I'm about done with you, limbo. QUITE done, fuck you very much...

Date: 2005-08-16 04:40 am (UTC)I personally think retail jobs are handled like high school. A lot of the time they're first come first served, whether those "served" count as useful employees or not. Other times there's significant amounts of nepotism going on, or even a full blown clique. I've applied to lots of music stores too, but have I ever even been looked at twice? No. I don't have "the look".
While you certainly could be said to have the look of a gamer, any of those other circumstances could have gotten in your way. REALLY don't take it personally, or let it in any way dash your belief in your employability. Sometime ask me about the Ritz Camera job I didn't get ;)
