My mom left today! We had a really good visit, mostly any difficulties were in my own head as she managed to behave very well, and only made a few unpleasant faces. I'm just incapable of not being tense around her, GEE, I wonder why?! *snort*

I've had a first skim of my friends page, and man oh man are you guys chatty when I say I have to bug out for a while... It's almost like the party starts when I leave the room *glares* but I'll try not to take it personally ;)

I'm giving up reading for the moment, since I have one or seven things I want to do, like call [livejournal.com profile] sleepwhenimdead and make sure he made it to his hotel okay last night, since he didn't leave our place until almost 3 AM. He's staying 2+ hours from here for business, but we're going to make a good go of selfishly trying to pull him away from it as much as possible!! I met him at the airport and helped him out with a little technical difficulty, and in return he let me fulfil a long awaited fantasy of mine. I GOT TO DRIVE A PURPLE PT CRUISER!!!! *droooool* I've wanted one since the first day I saw one, even though they get some of the shittiest gas mileage around. My review? Well, it's a car like just about any other car (not bad, but also not a race car), and it's soooooooooo pretty! I still shouldn't own one, but it hasn't stopped me wanting to like I was hoping it would.

He didn't call me from the hotel last night like he said he would. I hope he's okay. I'm sure he was just exhausted and didn't call so he wouldn't wake me up.
I talked to him on your phone at about 4 your time, and he was stopping for coffee and to make sure he wasn't lost. I haven't heard from him since then.

His rental is a purple PT Cruiser?! He didn't tell me that!

WAAAAAH. Not being in Canada with him SUCKS.

He's fine, but yes, it sucks you're not here...

He did seem very tired and I was a little worried about letting him go last night, but we loaded him up with coffee and music. I just called him at noon, so now I know he's safe. You're also totally right- he even mentioned wanting to call you but being worried he'd wake you up!

And major WAAAH indeed! We were both seriously lamenting you not being there when we saw that car... If you had, I'm sure it would have been quite the amusing moment as we battled for who got to drive first! *giggle* I have such a major case of purple PT Cruiser lust it's not even funny. I really did feel quite bittersweet about it all though, since I know how excited it made me, it would have been great if you'd been there, even if we ended up wrestling in an oily puddle for the keys! *evil grin*

HA!

I just read this comment to Duncan. He said, "WHOA! Sign me up! Wow! An oily puddle of you and Sah!"

Naughty.

*evil evil evil grinning* Crash had about the same reaction, and got a distant look in his eye just picturing it.. Then he offered to bring the oil! ;)

*coughs* So when did you say this wedding was? *more evil grinning*

We're not having a good day, but I've got the will to give it one more try because there's a couple options still open. She still has the will to try to follow me around, and even try to eat, so I am not giving up yet either.

PT goodness

I felt the same way about the blue PT Cruiser. I got to drive one for the first time last May when we went to my college reunion. Not only did we get a PT Cruiser, but we got a BLUE one. However, unlike you it seems, driving it did shake my lust for wanting the car. I still think it's adorable, but it turned like a cow. And there was way less visibility than I'm used to with my Civic. The back seat wasn't any roomier than my car, but the trunk was great for luggage. A fun car to rent, not one I'd want to buy.

Yeah, I was a little taken aback by the smallness of the inside, but it looks like they at least made an attempt at leg room. Even at 5'7" I had to kinda sit way up to look over my shoulder when passing, and that's not good. I also agree about the cow-like turning radius, though I didn't notice it seriously until we turned into the driveway.

Hence my review that it's a car, but I am a shallow little thing sometimes, I still want it 'cuz it's perty! :)
