Harvey is in the first fish tank I ever set up, and so far he's not dead! I think I will set up Rygel next before he goes and gets sick again. I am scared that I've done something wrong, even though I can't think of anything and nothing seems wrong.

The weather is really beginning to suck ass- I should have done stuff to the yard before now, and now I will suffer.

I seem to have developed a black thumb- nearly all my houseplants are close to death.

The house is getting cleaner, I must really be afraid of something...

K and I are in the depths of the food argument still, still stuck on the frigging peaches- my mom stopped the forcing them as the first course thing, so we've been back to square one, thanks mom.

I am trying not to hover over LJ, but I am impatient for news from [livejournal.com profile] deirdre5173 on whether she's popped ;)

Gotta go to the store- don't wanna, gotta. Can't decide whether this is because I know K hasn't eaten enough, or because of how cold it is outside and my continued need to frenzy-clean.

And my cold still hasn't gone away.

parenting!

My mom had a 'one spoon' rule. We had to eat 'one spoon' of whatever we hated, and then we got a bit more of whatever we liked.

Given, of course, that the kid is eating anything... although when pre-vocabulated, my brother went through a 'broken food' stage - if it was 'broken' he'd scream and shriek and refuse to eat it. This means the minute he took a bite of a hotdog, the meal was over. He ate a lot of mashed potatos and cottage cheese for period of months - he'd 'break' the mass and scream. Mom would 'fix' it, he'd take another spoonfull and scream... etc... it was fun fun fun for all involved.

You might try Metamucil in the cracker/cookie format as a daily 'treat' or reward for trying new food (if he likes them - they are sweet, you just need to get the water in him if/after he eats it.) I know I've had his trouble since I was five, and it's no fun. I keep prunes in the house... but maybe that's TMI. *grins*

Good luck, anyway.
Kid wrangling is always a challenge.

Sadly, no... We would have to get the Space channel actually, and I am not sure it's actually running Farscape. I think we're eventually going to have to rob a bank and get the DVD set.

Way off topic:
read this article about helping autistic children.

::shakes magic eight ball::

Will hippybngstockng ever be healthy again?

::ball responds::

Not likely

That's how it seems anyway! And suck ass is one of my favorite terms to use. Good work!
