So suddenly a realization hit me this evening. Gaming! Gaming is fun, gaming all day is fun, gaming all day long in a hotel in a big city is fun, gaming anywhere that isn't home all day long is fun!

Isn't home....

Isn't home... Why is that phrase bothering me.... *looks around* *SUDDENLY NOTICES ELDERLY DOG AT HER FEET*

Oh shit...

So, anybody out there wanna Betty-sit tomorrow? Any Amber Con people want to comment on whether they think the GM's will bite me if I bring her with? I don't want people to think I am being disruptive or trying to gain attention by bringing a pet- really it's more of a concern of leaving her alone that long. She WILL need to pee, and there's really nobody in the immediate vicinity except maybe snowpea1980, and I don't know how her dogs would feel about Betty. If it weren't so late I would call M&K, but they've been asleep for hours, plus they live north of Ossington- we'd have to leave the car at their house or something in order to pull a solid retrieval. Oh boy have I fucked up now...

I guess there are those puppy pads in the closet...

*ponders*

*sighs*

Sheesh I hate it when I forget about little HUGE things like that...

Uh... bringing the dog probably not a good idea; number one, allergies may be a concern, number two, the hotel might object, and number three, might be a significant distraction.

I had sort of come to that conclusion as well. I tried to think of ways to make her more subtle, but she's just not. We're trying to think of other options, but realistically I think she'll be okay alone as well, just lonely. I'm just kicking myself for not thinking of it in advance and making a better plan.

I'm sorry I'm just seeing this now. I wouldn't have been able to take Betty today because we're getting the kitchen floor done today. So we're all locked in the basement and the dogs are more agitated than usual.

If you need me to swing by later to let her out or anything, let me know. I'm sure we could work something out. :)

If you really must put her away, Banks will take her. They have boarding and we have used them in just these kinds of situations. I think it's about $30 a day.
