I am glad the antibiotics seem to be working because the side effects just suck. I've had a dull headache and a bad taste in my mouth for days now. The headache is just bad enough to suck all the will to do things out of me that I have so little of to begin with :P

We have our first speech therapy session today- and I have happy news to report to them! Last night while bouncing on the bed, K proclaimed "I JUMPING!" which is the first time he's ever referred to himself and an action in ANYTHING. He's said single words to describe things, like jumping, or sleepy, but never combined with himself. I think his comprehension has been going way up as well because he's reacting to us a lot faster when we say things, and to some of his movies with a little more emotion regarding the plots, like he's hearing them in a whole new way :)

And we have a guest suddenly- there's a cat in my sun room. Crash picked it up because he was pretty sure it was a local lost cat we've seen flyers for, but the owner of that cat just called, and, well.... We just have some random ass cat. No collar, and it was pretty hungry, so I hope I didn't just find my first stray. I'm trying to be a good girl and not get any new cats, especially not short hairs. So I guess Crash is going to make some FOUND cat flyers and we'll put those up and hopefully someone will come and tell us we're morons- but I will call them a moron right back. Don't let your cat outside without a collar unless you're prepared to have random people pick it up and take it home with them assuming it's a stray!

I know squat about cats. What's the matter with shorthairs?

Dander. The shorthairs actually seem to give off more allergens than longhair cats do.

hm. Who knew? The only cat I have experience with is a big dumb long haired thing that feels like a sweater, and he doesn't even make me sneeze too badly.

Huh. That makes it tempting for me to get a long-haired. I found out that K's allergic when we went to visit a loooong-haired cat (which we were about to adopt!), and she started sniffling and sneezing (all the while proclaiming "but I'm only a little allergic!")
