Jun. 27th, 2004 09:03 pmPride day in Toronto- Much music, Much walking, much standing, little seeing... I remember when I used to think of myself as tall, I wonder what happened. I did manage to take some good pictures by holding my camera way over my head, but they ALL need cropping since the bottom half of most of them are the backs of the heads of the people in front of me. I'll sort through and find the good ones- there are many duds as well, sadly. It's hard to take good pictures from arms reach.
We met up with K's little friend M and her parents and hung out with them for the parade. Sadly it started at the beginning of the pre-nap-time window so both kids were a little on the touchy side through the whole thing, but they did pretty well and just barely kept their cool through to the end. K almost wandered off into the crowd twice while we were distracted, and he was pulling on a stranger's shirt at one point, and M just about scalped her mom trying to remove her hat a few times, but otherwise they were both pretty good for a couple of moody sleepy 3 year olds in a massive loud crowd. A couple times K tried to convince us it was time to go, and I almost took his cue, but conveniently the first time a line of police cars decorated with balloons came by and the second time a decorated school bus came by so I got lucky! He got a huge kick out of people throwing confetti, and after some larger pieces floated down he started picking those up off the ground and trying to throw them in the air :) It was really terribly cute. Must make mental note to have confetti at next party... I can vacuum. It was a fun long day. I wish tomorrow wasn't Monday.
Many things, too little energy. More later.
